Es liegt in der Natur in Mineralform vor. Im Gestein taucht es als Kalkstein auf, wo es fast pur vorhanden ist, sowie auch als Dolomit. Calciumcarbonat ist in Wasser fast gar nicht l\u00f6slich, und unter Einfluss der Witterung und saurer Regenf\u00e4lle entsteht Calciumhydrat, Ca(HCO3)2, das in Wasser leicht l\u00f6slich ist.<\/p>\n

In der Landwirtschaft wird dieser Stoff als Gemisch f\u00fcr saure Fl\u00e4chen benutzt. Eines der gr\u00f6\u00dften Probleme der rum\u00e4nischen Landwirtschaft ist die Qualit\u00e4t der B\u00f6den \u2013 diese sind sehr sauer wegen \u00fcberm\u00e4\u00dfiger Nutzung von D\u00fcngemitteln und anderen chemischen Stoffen, die den pH-Wert senken.<\/p>\n
